Raising Awareness, Providing Support

At Marshalling CTE, our mission is simple: to raise awareness of the dangers of concussions and brain injuries on the long-term health of our brains and provide support to anyone in the UK affected by CTE or any other neurodegenerative disease caused by a brain injury.

Public Awareness

At Marshalling CTE we passionately believe that prevention is key, too many people are unaware of the immediate and long-term dangers of concussions, sub concussions and brain injuries to our fragile brains.

Not only is it key that the public are made aware of the dangers, but we also hear far too often people are unable to obtain a diagnosis or access the correct support within the NHS due to lack of understanding and training within the medical field.

So, it is our aim to shout from the roof tops to raise awareness and champion others that share their stories and other charities that are raising awareness and educating people on the dangers of concussions and brain injuries.

Support Groups

Living with CTE can be extremely isolating and lonely, here at Marshalling CTE we provide support groups free of charge. We have two WhatsApp groups and hold regular virtual meetings online, one group is for people who have CTE, TBI or any type of neurodegenerative disease and the other group is for family and friends. The aim of both groups is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental, and confidential spaces to share the highs and lows of navigating life with a brain injury. Both groups are run by volunteers who have firsthand knowledge of CTE and mental health issues.
